Duplex apartment, Paris
For this 170m² duplex apartment in the centre of Paris, Rinck designed a classic décor, with Louis XV-style ornamentation but revisited through a very Parisian 19th-century prism, and incorporating contemporary details.
The interior design studio has come up with a complete made-to-measure wall decoration, incorporating the ornamental codes expected by international clients in a Parisian flat: panels featuring refined details inspired by the rocaille spirit of the Louis XV style but revisited in Haussmannian style. Depending on the rooms in the flat, the wall decoration changes from wood to staff, while retaining the same ornamental language. The boiserie was created by the Rinck fittings workshop.
The floor in the entrance hall features a stone paving with an unstructured cabochon pattern, opening onto a modern wrought-iron banister. In the large living room, a Versailles parquet floor in oiled oak is encircled by a frieze with an ash knot running around the marble slab.
