"What's New What's Next" — A New York Showcase

On September 18, during the “What’s New, What’s Next” event, Rinck the transformation of its space at the New York Design Center — a landmark of design and decorative arts located at 200 Lexington Avenue. Conceived as a living gallery, it is a place where furniture, art, and exceptional craftsmanship engage in dialogue.

Designed to showcase the house’s creative identity, this showroom establishes itself as a must-visit destination for design enthusiasts in New York — a space created to connect with architects, decorators, and collectors from around the world.

Imagined by Valentin Goux, President and Artistic Director, the scenography is structured around two emblematic pieces that define the space. The central fireplace, gilded with gold leaf, draws inspiration from desert roses, whose natural patterns have been deconstructed to create a play of fractured lines. Facing it, the wall panel unfolds origami-like reliefs that resonate with the sculptural form of the fireplace, weaving a subtle dialogue between these two elements.

This panel stands out through three exclusive finishes: two gold-leaf gildings in subtly different shades and a bird’s-eye maple veneer, enhanced by a mist finish specially developed by Rinck’s internal research department.

Within this new showcase, Rinck presents the Opus Memoria collection and, for the first time, unveils an exceptional piece created in collaboration with artist Simon Buret: Le Jour, a unique sculpture revealed during the event.

By pushing the boundaries between decorative arts and collectible design, and by integrating its historical expertise — classical and contemporary woodwork, marquetry, gilding, decorative painting, and metal inlays — into a resolutely contemporary scenography, Rinck unveils in New York a manifesto space where innovation, creation, and craftsmanship intertwine. A must-visit destination for collectors, designers, and art enthusiasts.
