Design Week Milan

On the occasion of the Milano Design Week, Rinck takes part in the exhibition Le Design Défilé, presented in the heart of the Brera district. Conceived as a scenographic journey by Jakob+MacFarlane, the exhibition brings together 53 French creations and offers a vision of design in motion, where pieces engage in dialogue with the body and space. Within this setting, Rinck presents the Opus Memoria Throne, a central piece from a collection inspired by the world of the artist’s studio. Both structured and enveloping, the seat is built around a solid wood frame with bold, defined lines, softened by a leather drape that appears to fall naturally, like a suspended material. This tension between formal rigor and the fluidity of gesture gives rise to a piece with a strong sculptural presence, conceived to be both observed and experienced. The throne invites a free and versatile approach to seating, allowing the body to shift between positions as the material follows movement. In Milan, the piece reflects a vision of French design where form, material, and use converge to create sensitive objects, in constant interaction with their environment.
