The Rinck x Zuretti Outdoor Collection: Nature meets Craftsmanship

In the world of interior architecture and design, certain collaborations emerge organically between companies, born of a natural affinity and shared values. This is precisely what generated the outdoor furniture collection imagined by Rinck and Zuretti Design. Through this sophisticated line, the two companies celebrate exceptional craftsmanship, all while reinventing the very concept of outdoor furniture.

This collection, the consequence of a dialogue between savoir-faire and innovation, combines the refinement of top-quality materials with a visionary design that will elegantly adapt to contemporary spaces. Every detail was studied with care and concern to produce sustainable furniture that is as functional as it is beautiful.

Rinck and Zuretti Design have a common vision: preservation and promotion of savoir-faire, respect for materials, and a quest for timeless elegance. The soul of this collection is a far cry from transient trends – it has been designed to possess the same presence and practicality year after year, a blend of tradition and modernity.

This intention is reflected in the choice of materials: The exclusive Kenzo Takada K3 textiles harmonize handsomely with the woods and their deep, silky finishes, while the veined Pantagonia marble curated from Marmi Vrech, adds a precious, eternal character. The painstaking attention given the textures and material combinations ensure each piece has a unique identity.

The collection includes:

A two-seater sofa combining comfort and elegance (satin-finished brown chestnut, polished chrome details, and exclusive K3 textiles).

A lounge chair with balanced proportions, designed to hug the curves of the body to perfection.

A coffee table and side table in Pantagonia marble, combining refined beauty and sturdy durability.

An alternative version of these tables in decorative lacquer by Rinck, creating a subtle interplay of textures and reflected light.

This synergy between nature and craftsmanship led two companies, with common values, to join forces. To better understand the dynamics of this collaboration and the spirit of this collection, we spoke with Matthieu Zuretti, who looks back on the inspirations and intentions behind this project.

WHY DID YOU CHOOSE TO WORK WITH RINCK FOR THIS COLLECTION?

“Rinck is a company with a great tradition of artisanal excellence and long-preserved savoir-faire in the world of furniture and interior design. Working with Rinck made it possible to ensure we achieved the level of quality and attention to detail that we had in mind for this collection. And the Rinck teams have tremendous creativity and innovation which, when combined with their mastery of traditional techniques, make them the perfect partners for exploring innovative concepts in outdoor furniture, while preserving the timeless elegance we intended.”

WHAT DO YOU SEE AS THE STRENGTH OF THE RINCK WORKSHOPS?

“The strength of Rinck’s workshops lies in their ability to combine traditional craftsmanship and technical innovation. Each piece is designed and produced with remarkable precision, so they can offer unique creations. The workshop teams have a wide range of very specific artisanal skills, from carpentry to ironwork to upholstery, all within one company, giving them complete control of the manufacturing process. This in-house, integrated work method means they oversee the quality at every stage of design and production, which gives them great freedom in customizing projects.”

WHAT CAN YOU TELL US ABOUT THIS OUTDOOR COLLECTION AND THE MINDSET IN WHICH IT WAS CONCEIVED?

“This outdoor collection was designed with sophistication and functionality in mind, along with a clear focus on lasting comfort and beauty. We wanted to create pieces that fit naturally into outdoor environments, yet still had the refinement and elegance found indoors. Each component was designed to stand up to the wind and weather while having an elegant, timeless design. The idea was to merge indoor comfort with the robust build and practicality needed for use outside.”

WHAT VALUES DO YOU SHARE WITH RINCK?

“The values we share with Rinck are excellence, a commitment to quality craftsmanship, and innovation that respects tradition. Authenticity and the love for a job well done are two other things we have in common. The two companies see creation from the same perspective, with a profound respect for quality materials and how they are used, meticulous attention to detail, and the desire to create lasting pieces that transcend short-lived trends. Another essential shared value that drives this collaboration is the idea of preserving, promoting, and passing down savoir-faire, keeping these vital métiers d’arts alive.”

La boiserie by Rinck

For more than two years, while our interior architecture studio has been working on a Louis XV interior-design project, we have been documenting the creative process. These slices of Rinck life are precious treasures for our archives, tracing the birth of a boiserie de style, from the first sketches to the scale drawings, from the sculpting to the gilding. This information serves as testament to our method as applied to neoclassical interior architecture – one of Rinck’s specialties since the late 19th century – as we design interior décors that satisfy our clients’ express wishes and precise tastes.

The World of Luxury Yachting

Exciting news for Rinck this fall of 2024: our team is preparing to take part in the Monaco Yacht Show this September 25-28. And, to give our first MYS experience twice the impact, we will have two display locations in the Principality during this event. First, a stand in the Parvis Piscine will showcase our contemporary furniture designs from collections presented over the past five years in Paris and Milan and exhibited in our Paris and New York galleries. But we will also have a stand in the International Yacht Company lounge to unveil an outdoor furniture collection created with Zuretti Design.
